握球棍太緊會有 高爾夫球肘

Gripping the club too tightly can cause golf elbow.

Causes:

Another condition with the opposite location to "tennis elbow" is "golfer's elbow," which is the inner side of the elbow. Pain occurs when flexing or extending the elbow joint, and it is called "medial epicondylitis of the humerus."

The medial epicondyle of the humerus is the attachment point of the common flexor tendon of the forearm. Due to long-term overuse, the origin of the wrist flexor muscles is stretched and stimulated, causing chronic aseptic inflammation, leading to "medial epicondylitis". Alternatively, an accidental fall can cause a partial tear of the common flexor tendon of the forearm, resulting in hematoma and fibrosis.

Clinical manifestations:

Playing golf for extended periods can cause elbow strain, or occupational diseases can exacerbate pain over time. Patients may experience pain in the upper arm and forearm, limited limb movement, weakness, and decreased function.

Treatment methods:

1. Manual therapy: Press and hold tender acupoints, massage and relax the muscles on the inner side of the forearm, and straighten the meridians.

2. Acupuncture points: Ashi points, Shaohai and Xiaohai, Yinxi, forearm inner tendon, muscle origin and insertion points.

3. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment: Apply traumatic injury relief plaster externally. Take blood-activating and stasis-removing pills internally.

Kind tips:

Temporarily stop activity of the affected limb and rest as much as possible. Applying heat to the affected area can help promote blood circulation and reduce inflammation. Avoid...

Eat shrimp, crab, beef, spicy foods, and alcohol. Do more stretching exercises. Swim more often to relax your limbs and spine. Improve poor posture during exercise.

Medical record:

With the increasing popularity of golf, there are also many patients seeking treatment. Because golf requires a reverse grip on the club, some patients have experienced damage due to gripping the club too tightly and using only the muscles on the inside of their forearm to generate power, instead of utilizing the momentum of spinal rotation. This damage affects the muscles and tendons at their origin and insertion points, as well as the medial epicondyle of the humerus. Beginners, in particular, almost always go through this stage.

Other patients, failing to aim their serve, hit the grass instead, causing elbow injuries from the recoil, leading to periosteum tears and even spinal damage. During treatment, I often advise patients to hire a good coach after recovery to correct their incorrect serving technique.
